J.B. Louvet Bicyclette is a French cycle manufacturer c. 1930 as depicted by the artist Mich. The poster portrays a bicycle that can help you climb and of the grinding climbs in France, but showcasing it can even figuratively climb "Ladders":  "It climbs everything!" 
Michel Liebeaux (1881-1923), better known as Mich, produced incredibly cool and enduring French posters namely in the cycling, motorcycle and automobile category. He was also an illustrator for the premier French auto-racing paper, L'Auto.
